SYNOPSIS

A family mourns the death of the father. Through two times in space we are brought into the presence of absence. A Family Tale is a quiet portrait of love, grief and the traces that the people we lose leave behind.

NATALIA CIEPIEL

Natalia Anna Ciepiel (1993) was born and raised in Denmark by polish parents who emigrated in the early 1980’s.

In 2018 she graduated from the Copenhagenbased film school Super16.

Her graduation film A Family Tale tells the story of loss, grief and the presence of absence in a nostalgic suburban setting.
